As a bmer fanatic, my choice is clear. Depending on your budget, there are some super fly bmers out there and if cash truly is not an issue, you can mod the piss out of those things. BMERs are fantastic to drive... especially if it isnt the same as everyone else's on the cul-de-sac. Mod it a bit, get a new set of shoes for it, stiffen it, put in a chip and a cold air induction, stiffen it up and then drive it on the road course with your local driving club, and then put some spit and polish on it, and go out on the town. A rover aint gonna do 0-60 in the 5s. The right BMER can. Go to YouTube, pull up BMER driving vids... you will see.

I'm gonna assume that choices are between the x5 and Range rover (not sport). seeing as the M5 and M6 are in a different universe, still.....No contest. BMW!!!. Range rover is beautiful outside, but interior is cheap. Black or painted PLASTIC everywhere. x5 4.8 is is more powerful and looks more "muscular" and aggressive. Actually the RR sport probably looks better than both, but the interior..disaster. Also, there are unlimited aftermarket parts for bimmers.

i think all these ignorant people are assuming you are talking about the range rover, which is a completely different company than ROVER.
if i had to choose between a ROVER (not a land rover range rover) and any BMW i would choose any bmw, even a 1 series, over any rover. any day

For day-to-day driving the BMW is a better choice (better gas mileage & easier to park).
If I was a weekend warrior -type the Range Rover would come in handy.
Heck - unlimited cash?? ...get 'em both and a mansion to park 'em in.

If you had "Unlimited Cash" you wouldn't be looking at a Rover or Bimmer and even if you were looking at a bimmer it would have to be a top pf the range from the M Division

Rovers have just about the lowest customer satisfaction rating on the planet. In other words, they suck.
