Hopefully this will cheer you up, when I was younger and a bit lighter than most of my peers and long flowing hair -- i got beat up all the time, once a girl walked over to my porch and just slapped me so hard a fell over the railing, she said she just felt like it, cause I looked too happy. My point is although from your view you think it's better or easier on a sister if she's light -- not all together true--we don't really fit in anywhere. Blacks don't really accept you because they think you are too close to white or they immediately assume that you think you are better than they are. And well I'm sure you realize how many whites don't readily accept blacks, and those types don't accept light skinned blacks any more than a dark skinned black. So in some ways you are lucky at the very least you have your own people, if nothing else. Best wishes.
