that is great and stay that way...
in a while when your sucessfull those people are going to be thinking back and regret everything they "DIDN'T" do... they think that being immature they are being "cool" and in my book that is no where near it.. (im 17 btw) i was never disrespectful or anything like that when i was that age.. we go to school to learn and make something out of our lifes... life is short so we have to make the best out of it... my family is not picture perfect either and that is just how i choose to be.. ill treat people the way i want to be treated.. with respect!
Good Luck!
and don't go under the influences of others stay how you are

They are kids, that's why. Simple answer.
Not so simple answer is because they haven't been taught self value. They think they are cool because they act that way. Sometimes this even taught at home. Parents laugh with kids make noises that are not acceptable, they think it's cute when their kids say something that is not good, they think that if the kids "try their hardest and still get bad grades" it's ok because they tried their hardest. The kids didn't try their hardest, they just did what they knew they could get away with.
I am not saying this is true of all parents, so please don't be offended everyone. I am only saying that some parents are like this.
It doesn't matter that you weren't raised in "a picture perfect" family. Most people aren't. Nobody is perfect. You may have been raised in a better home than these kids though. Or you may just have self worth in yourself regardless, or even in spite of, your surroundings.

Right now every 8th grade teacher in North America is trying to figure out how to get you into their class and clone more of you!
It's a matter of what they're allowed to get away with, I guess, and a lack of inner standards and outer expectations, mostly the latter.
13 is usually a difficult time for most, being right on the edge of childhood and adulthood. Adults are supposed to be helping you make the transition, but too many just let kids grow wild, like weeds. Very sad.
Meanwhile, good for you. Hang in there and keep your distance from the bad influences as much as you can. It gets better, but maybe not until college. God bless.

I know I'm the same way. I'm mature and responsible when all my friends arent. They dont take things serious and they kinda just do enough to get by if even. I hate making low grades and being look down upon so I try to be very mature and try my hardest at school. You can't always be mature though you have to act like a kid sometimes and just cut loose, if you dont your going to go insane! You shouldn't talk trash about them though, its who they are. I doubt they go around complaining how your to mature. Their parents might never have taught them to be mature and respectful.

Some people mature faster and have a sense of righteousness more than others. They don't participate in school or do work because it's not fun to them to do so. And they're still young, they might as well have as much fun as possible and worry come high school graduation and college.
It's pretty typical everywhere. All part of being social. Even in high school, even with high school seniors, the teachers have to scream for them to be quiet dozens of times and to do their work.

i've always wondered the same thing. im in garde 10, and still get the same people being i.diots. like being "immature" is ok. but theres a time and a place. you know, like not at school, maybe after school with your friends you can goof off and stuff. and then on top of this, these same stupid, immature kids are the same ones having sex (really young) ugh! i just cant believe that these are gonna be the people running the country in a few years

there are all these harmones popping up in them. Sometimes kids try to hide by making a fool out of themselves so that other pple don't see what's happening to their body.
The part of growing up also means that u hav to act mature from being immature. They HAVE TO act immature sometime...and i guess later on in life when they realize what's important they will make decisions that are good for them...but again some pple never understand the importants of these beautiful life. :)

They act immature but that is the age and they are immature. They will change but it takes time. They feel that their immaturity will lead to friendships.

Well you sound like you're on the right track, that's the important thing. ;) Set a good silent example by continuing to act in a mature responsible manner. Hopefully it will rub off on some of them. If it doesn't, don't sweat it.

there having fun! ok so maybe these kids should work harder but they probobly dont have the motivation because they dont think that highly of themsleves. as for the stuff you think is immature like 'unnecessary noises' this is just them having fun. I am your age and im not ready to start being an adult yet. They dont let us smoke, drink, buy knives and have sex yet (legally) so i think we have the right to act like children until we are given the responsibilties of an adult.
