There is no 'difference' they mean different things altogether.

Confession is admitting something that you've done, usually something you shouldn't.

Betrayal is breaking someone's trust or confidence by doing something you shouldn't behind their backs.

She confessed her betrayal. They're totally different.

Betrayal is something that is always bad. Always against someone.

Confession is just releasing information. Not always bad, not always against someone.
