I attended a performance of "Dial M for Murder" starring Jonathan Frid, who at that time was Barnabas Collins in the wildly popular "Dark Shadows", waaaaaay back in the Sixties. It was an absolutely wonderful experience that I remember vividly! He was amazing, and my friends and I nearly got his autograph~except a rude lady shoved us out of the way! We actually cried over missing this opportunity. BUT, when we were back at the car, in front of the theater, trying to get settled down, He exited the theater FROM THE FRONT DOOR! *GASP* He got in the car right next to ours with some other people, and we watched them drive away, tempted to follow them but decided we didn't want to bother him.

Also when I was younger, I went with other students to The Muny in St. Louis, where we saw "West Side Story". Sadly, I didn't know at that point that I was very nearsighted; I thought everyone else saw the world in that fuzzy way. I didn't understand all of the oohs and ahhs over the costumes and dancing. At least I heard the music.

I've attended a number of musicals, including high school productions of "Finian's Rainbow", "West Side Story", "Bye Bye, Birdie" and "The Music Man". I also saw a high school production of "Harvey".

While in college, I attended several performances of "Godspell", which was so remarkable that they were selected to perform at several competitions. My younger sister went with me one time and was amazed by it.

I was in three musicals while in high school: "Brigadoon", "South Pacific" and "Goldilocks" (about the silent film industry).

I love stagework! I wish I lived someplace where I could get to plays and musicals.

Yes, here in Pittsburgh we are fortunate to have the Pittsburgh Broadway Series that brings a lot of really good shows to town. I try to get to one a year, but it doesn't always happen. Several years ago, I was fortunate to see Camelot, while Richard Harris was still playing King Arthur. That was tremendous. More recently I've seen Wicked (loved it), and Rent (it was OK). Even better was the Pittsburgh Public Theater's production "The Chief," a one-man tribute to Art Rooney (see, the Steelers can sneak in ever here).

Oh I love plays. I've been to West Side Story, the Seussical (did I spell that correctly? I saw it many, many years ago...), Hairspray, Guys and Dolls...oh, and I absolutely loved seeing Mouse Trap in theater in the round.

There are more, but it's been years since I saw them...

Oh, I saw Pippin on VHS many years ago...I would love to see it live; the music is phenomenal.
