We're doing f(y)= mx+b

I was wondering if this could be a linear function...

f(x) = 3x/2 + 1

I want to say yes but 3x divided by 2 threw me off.

Also what if the equation uses squared?
Pretend the *'s are the little two squared things, lol.

f(x) = p* + 10

or

f (x) = (2r -1)*

Thank you in advanced if you help. Since for the most part I understand linear functions besides the squaring thing and if something is dividing x. Hah, I hope that made sense. :/

Thank you!

yes it is a linear function 3x/2 and be written as 3/2 x

equations that have a squared variable make parabolas
