I have lost all respect for the royal family since lovely princess Diana passed away.
They really showed their true colours, they were rude and ignorant to the fact that the public loved her.
The queen only made a speech when she knew that she was losing respect from the public.
And after that we then had to endure a wedding with prince Charles and Camilla! DISGRACEFUL!
I love the boys, William and Harry and i think they make excellent examples of modern royalty.
I have confidence that the public, and myself, will gain respect back with the royal family as long as these lovely boys are leading the realm.
As for the rest of them, the sooner they fade off into the back ground, the better.
Peace, Love and Light Princess Diana, Queen of Hearts. xxx

Prince Phillips' non PC attitude and humour should get him his own primetime chatshow! I'd watch it!
It would be interesting to find out what the Queen really thinks and what her personal opinions are.
The rest of the Royal Family do appear to be celebrity wannabes, but is that them or their media portrait?

Great lady our Queen. Its the one job that no politician can buy! King/Queen, sometimes the country gets a good one, sometimes a bad one; but Tony Blair, Brown, Cameron or any of that ilk can't put themselves into the the job, and cannot shove the job to one of their cronies, and Liz Windsor, believe it or not, still wields a lot of power behind the scenes. There are however, far too many hangers on.!

I feel they are pointless, lazy bloodsuckers who are only good for psiphoning tax-payers' money to subsidise their extravagent life-style and giving the media something to laugh at.
The French had the right idea about what to do with royals!

there's absolutley no need for them, unless you're the editor of the dailly express, they are a drain on the economy and about as much use as a chocolate teapot. sure they do a lot of charity work, but so does bob geldof, and yes they bring in a lot of tourists, but so does blackpool tower. at the very least we should scrap the civil list and let them really earn their keep.

Well personally, I think the Bushes and the Clintons are evil parasites and representatives of plutocracy.... OH! It's addressed to Britons, and you mean actual royalty!
Well, I am for a planet-wide socialist republic. Royalty are for the middle ages, not the 21st century.

I don't see the point in having them really, apart from maybe the fact that they attract tourists. But with the amount of money they cost taxpayers I think that getting rid of them would make up for the loss in tourism.
