I live for the first day that the temp rises above 45 degrees! (I live in Buffalo, NY, so usually around May or June - lol!!!) I love being barefoot. I would rather run barefoot, walk barefoot, dance barefoot than wear any shoes that cover up my feet! I have cute toes and when they are all painted and pretty, I smile on the inside and the outside! I beam! I love barefeet!!!

This is a very funny question. It may make some people feel better but I am not sure how. I do go barefoot as often as I can but that is because I feel it is a natural way to be.
I can certainly tell you it makes you a little tougher. If you can take the pain that goes along with being barefoot like getting a bit of glass in your foot or burrs in your foot or whatever.
shoes protect your feet in many ways but I think they also reshape your foot. I guess that is not necessarily a bad thing because we will be warring them for the most part of out lives So we may as well get used to it.

Yes, because it is who I am. When I wear shoes for reasons other than extreme heat or cold, I am doing it for someone else.
One thing that keeps me going even though it may be against the grain, is the positive responses I get from others even if only occasionally. It makes my day when a stranger confesses to me that they love to go barefoot too, and that my example has given them new found motivation to resume their prior barefoot ways.

Yes it surely does make me feel better. When am feeling low, i would just put off my shoes and walk barefoot. it brings me down to earth where I belong and am in direct contact with it. As I step on the ground, even my senses and mind go down to earth, and then I feel good about myself and life. try it on a regular basis.

No! With plantar fascitis and painful heel spurs, I wear Birkenstock sandals or shoes with orthodics everywhere I go.

If you are able to walk and run barefoot...enjoy the feeling! Don't take it for granted. I used to go barefoot all summer long, feel the mud squish through my toes, run through the soft grass & even get used to the gravel driveway!

What a wonderful memory you've brought to my senses! Thank you.

I love being barefoot. I go pick up my kids from the bus stop without shows any time before it starts freezing....it has a sense of freedom about it.
