Try pressing Ctrl+Alt+ the UP Arrow...it happened to me at work a few months ago :)

You'll need to grab the monitor and rotate it 180 degrees, keeping the monitor screen in view (that will indicate you turned it right)...then set it down again...There, all better!
Just joking...i agree with either of, or both of, the answers already stated, but i couldn't help myself ..hehe
By the way, for years i have enjoyed hard hitting McAfee as a virus kicker. I've used the free online version of PC penicillin and you would have to google, trendmicro housecalls (without quotes) to find the free one or likely even better the paid subscription (which i haven't tried)... But either one of these have high probability of ending your troubles...

It's probably a VIRUS which is hardly a joke.
Shut down the system and restart it and install a virus protector. See Consumer Reports for a list of good packages.

Probably a joke screen. Ive sen those before. Try turning the computer off and back on.
