No. It bothers in in a personal way, and I always let them know.
It's easy just bite your tongue because half the time they won't hear you, but it is important to speak up, even in little things. I always do.

I admit, it's hard to keep from laughing at stupidity. I have to take big breaths of air to calm down after laughing at such ignorance.

You simply have to bear in mind that narrow-minded people
have a psychosis which renders them virtually incompetent.
Ignore or over-look their lack of intelligence and common sense then you'll learn to be more empathetic to their lack
of registered brain activity which causes them to
formulate and process such stupid logic and unorthodox
beliefs. TRUST ME, they're not worth the stress. Peace.

Don't associate with ignorant people - most of the time people say stuff like that just to get under your skin if they know it bothers you. You know what you believe - you can make a few reasonable counter comments to make then realize they are being unreasonable in their comments. If they aren't willing to listen, than they are exactly like you said - close-minded - so don't waste your time - use your energy on more important tasks than humoring ignorant people.

Same as when listening to Bush speak. Shake my head and wonder why such a creature was granted the 'ability' to speak.

Try to understand how they came to such an idiodic conclusion. From that basis, maybe just maybeeee, I can communicate something to them that will give them some food for thought.
You have to earn that person's respect before you can try to change their oppinion through education.

It helps me when I realize how blessed I am , to not be offensive and unaware when I am speaking. I do not let these things affect me when others say things, I simply chuckle and become thankful of my own attributes. On the other hand, some comments can be downright offensive and disrespectful and you then have to let it be known that people cannot treat you in this way and expect you to consider and treat them with respect. People can only do to you what you let them.

i do no longer think of many of the answerers even watched the video. somebody taught those terrorists and extremist Muslims to kill human beings and injury homes, and those "someones" are additionally Islamic. it would be diverse if some terrorists have been atheists or Christians, or Buddhists, yet they don't seem to be- all of them Muslims! That of course brings into question the Islamic teachings and attitude. Am I asserting that all and sundry Muslims are terrorists? No, of course no longer! even though it particularly is authentic that fairly all terrorists are Muslims!

something i learn from a great book "the social animal" by a wondeful social psychologist elliot aronson said that there is no point in trying to convince ignorant people of seeing reason because it will only make them re-enforce what they already believe with even sillier evidence to their point. sounds wrong but...you should read the book! it really helps you understand peoples cognitions better. dont waste your time with people like that!

You have to learn to ignore certain people and what they say. It's REALLY hard sometimes, but even just saying, "I really don't agree with what you just said, so I'm going to walk away from you right now." And then vent to a friend that agrees with you or to your journal.
