Neil Young.

Although I think Warren Zevon sang it best:
"Sweet Home Alabama. Play that dead band's song"!

Lynyrd Skynyrd were from Florida so why would it even matter to them if somebody sang about Alabama? Also why would Neil Young even care about that state since he was Canadian? Despite the reports of a feud between Neil Young and Ronnie Van Zant, they actually were good friends and there have been rumors that Van Zant was buried in a Neil Young T-shirt

Skynyrd. They ADMITTED that Alabama had faults as well. I hope Neil Young remembers a Southern Man don't need him 'round anyhow. If you listen you hear Boo Boo Boo about the Governor. So unless someone can tell me where Young gave Alabama ANY credit, I'll have to say he wasn't close.

Alabama and Skynyrd, Neil Young's song was a perfect example of liberal bigotry.

Neil Young is never afraid to speak his mind and I value that highly.
