If you wet your hair before you swim, with shower water the hair will absorb the clean water making it harder to let the chlorine water in. I swear it really works. Also bumble & bumble has the best shampoo and conditonor. It might be expensive but it is totally worth the splurge!

Coat your hair with a thick layer of conditioner, and leave it in before you go swimming ... your hair will be goopy, but it gives a protective coat in the water. Also, since you are swimming so often you need to deep condition your hair 2 times a week. Leave the deep conditioner in for a good 20 minutes... my mom leaves it in her hair over night ... and then just rinse it out. If you color your hair that makes it more susceptible to breakage, and damage from the chlorine.

Use conditioner on your hair, put your hair under the cap while swimming and then simply rinse it out in the shower. Only use shampoo a couple of times a week to allow your hair's natural oils to return.

any extra moisturizing conditioner is the best. just sqeeze some on your palm run through your dry hair put cap on and dont remove cap until your done practicing. worked for me, i was on varsity swim team in highschool we practiced 3 hours every day, and I did this regularly. it may be that the shampooing is also causing the breakage. soap tends to dry hair out. just do the conditioner thing and only wash your hair once a day. this should help alot.

I particular do not guy if I did my hair could fall out. yet I oftentimes wash it another day or each and every 2 or perhaps 3 days. yet I do bathe on a daily basis. you are able to bathe on a daily basis do purely not wash your hair. it truly is actual healthful to not wash your hair on a daily basis, because it leaves your hairs organic oil in it. So if it would not look or experience greasy or smell mattress truly heavily you do not favor to bathe it on a daily basis. So don't experience undesirable. yet convinced contained in the summer I oftentimes do wash my hair on a daily basis. because I swim contained in the river plenty, and also you by no skill understand what you get on you in there.

There's a product called Ojon that helps protect and heal your hair. It's like a deep conditioning balm and is all natural. I put it on my hair and let it sit overnight. It would probably work great under your swim cap. You can get it at Sephora or on QVC.

Get a better cap - Speedo are best. I have long hair too and it keeps mine dry. I had a stage where I coated it with conditioner before I went in, but bloomin hat slid off. Get a thicker latex one.
