The concept of infinity? Sure. Whether any particular person is able to grasp the concept is open to debate, but lots of people have explained it. Try reading George Gamow's "1-2-3- Infinity". I read that book when I was in grade school and got a pretty fair grasp not only of infinity, but of the different classes of infinities (yes, there is more than one type of infinity, and some types are BIGGER than others -- wrap your head around THAT!!).

George Cantor is famous for studying infinity and properties of infinite sets. He discovered that there are different levels of infinity. There are more irrational numbers than counting numbers.
Infinity is used alot in math and science. An infinite number of terms can be added to get a finite number. Calculus uses the limit as you approach infinity.
Infinity has been well defined and explained. It come up often and has many uses.
Can you please explain what kind of explaination of infinity you are looking for? What would help you grasp it?

not the human mind, maybe some other more evolved humanoid species someday. but right now the current thinking is that the universe isnt infinite or finite, its 4 dimensional, so to a 3 dimensional person like us it would be infinite.
and you can explain the concept of infinity fairly simply, it just means having no end. its just that picturing that concept of it is impossible.

Infinity only exists as a mathematical notion, it can't be applied to the real world.

What is infinity? We live in a finite universe so how could anyone define it? Or comprehend it?

the new thinking is finite, a boundary that can be crossed then another universe... likened to how cells are built.
