sawyer-you said you got them to be different. In the 80's that would have been true. That's like saying I wear shoes to be different.

If YOU don't like them, don't get them.

It's not that difficult to work out.

I don't like Tatts, but they're fine by me at 25+ and done professionally.
I think, and I know it sounds sexist, but anything on chicks - ladies larger than 3cm radius, looks cheap and nasty.
And would look shocking on an older woman.

Unless a man decided to get one when he was 50 - 60+ I see them and really think nothing of it.

I have three tattoos, and love them more every time I look at them. I will still love them when I'm 100.None of them are small. I have a large sunflower with a gecko on its stem, an Egyptian glyph that represents eternal life, and a Haida totem representing a raven in their art form. The raven is on the lateral calf of my left leg, and the Ka and gecko are just below the clavicle of each side.

Then? No most people regret it. And most employers hate them. Tattoo's are looked upon as a prison thing. I know that is not always true but it is the way that most people look at them.

Tats are cool! I'm 48, got first one in late 30's, last one last summer. I'm 48. I think body art is awesome! I even convinced my 65 year old friend to get a tatto she always wanted...a rose on her ankle...and it looks darling!

I've got a friend who got his more than 60 years ago, and they are totally unreadable and have blurred beyond recognition. They certainly are not cute.

My nephew has tattoos around his neck. They look like a paisley scarf. When he is older I know he will feel embarrassed and probably wear a real scarf to hide them.
