Murder is to kill someone for no reason or just for fun or because they don't like them... to kill is different is saying for example, someone is about to do serious harm to someone and the only way to stop them is to kill them.. this is not murder.

Murder is the unjustified and intentional killing of another. A murderer, of course, is someone who has committed murder. I suppose you would have to be malicious at the time to murder someone, but malicious in general? Not necessarily, and certainly murderers are not always outwardly or visibly malicious as a person.

Murder consists of the deliberate unlawful killing of a person, or allowing another to die through your depraved indifference.

If it's accidental, it's manslaughter.
If you are operating the electric chair at the state pen, it's lawful.
If you are killing in defense of your person or your property or that of your family, it's lawful.
If you are a soldier engaged in lawful combat, it's lawful.
If you are a police officer, and you can make the other person appear to be resisting arrest for missing a connecting flight, it's lawful.

all murderers are animals, anyone who takes thelife of someone should be put to death without an appeal system(the way it used to be carried out in this country in the 1930's thru the 1950's in 60 days),there is no justification to house, feed and cloth them, they belong under ground

Murder, as per my understanding, is the killing of another person.

But what about murders that occur in self defense? What if it is to prevent a rape, or another murder? Those don't seem too malicious...

If some drunk insults your wife and you punch him in the face and he falls badly and dies you are a murderer in English law.
I'd do it again, though. (Don't tell Probation)
