our daughters room. The contractors who came, they don't want to work in the rain. ( their town got rain but here we didn't)they didn't work last weekend, and they didn't work Monday ( I guess becuase of the holiday) Then yesterday one of them got sick and had to go to the hosp... I'm thinking if they don't come back by Monday I will (maybe) call and yell at them. The one that is still healthy could hire someone, right? I mean its Cold in the morning and I can't run the heat with so many open spaces...
On the other hand, I have a very high level of anxiety which is being made worse for every day its not done..
What do you think?

I think you've hired a bad contractor. I mean I can understand not wanting to work in the rain...who does. But to leave you exposed to the elements is uncalled for. I would talk to the one in charge, and express your concerns about the progress or lack of and let them know that you're not going to tolerate it. If this contractor can't keep people on the job, then he needs to refer you to someone who can. They are working for you...so speak up!

why r u waiting? I would of hired a new contractor by now. It sounds like u r getting the run around. My son used to have his own construction business and if his partner would of gotten sick then he would of showed up and tried to get done what he could of done by himself. U hired them they did not hire u. So they r suppose to be trying to make u happy. And that would mean getting the job done. Remember u hired them u r the boss. Give them a deadline and if they can't meet it hire someone else.

I hope you haven't paid them yet. If they were working on a project for us, we would fire them. It sounds like they are making excuses NOT to do the work. Yes, you should call them and make an ultimatum, do the work required, finish it by this date or else you will call the state contractor's licensing board and the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint. No money until the job is complete!

I think you have picked some pretty unreliable contractors. Did you check their references before you hired them?
