Re: 'Poisonous' vs 'Venomous'- Venomous is more technically accurate, but poisonous is perfectly OK. A lot of people are picking on this, but it is a pretty pedantic issue. After all, all venoms are poisons!
To clarify:
- Poisons mess you up (to oversimplify!)
- Venoms are poisons that affect you in a way OTHER than being ingested- such as injected.
- Toxins are naturally occuring poisons.

Just popping in here to let you know that snakes aren't "poisonous", they're "venomous". Just a minor mistake, but it's good to know!

I've had all except lizards as pets. I love hermit crabs because they're so easy to care for and fun to watch. Snakes are great but I get annoyed at continuously buying live food for them, and they really are only good to look at. Turtles are awesome!! But very boring. I hear some lizards like chameleons don't like to be held. I'd choose a hermit crab!! Easy to take care of :) OR a small gecko or iguana: something inexpensive. If I could have any lizard? I'd have a Bearded Dragon :)))))
