I am very happy in my marriage but sex is still important.

Sex is fun and satisfaction. It makes you happy in most cases. So I would say that good sex is directly related to happiness, and that the better the sex is, then the better you and your significant other feel and the happier you both will be. Of course, there are millions of other things to make you happy or sad, but since you asked about sex, there is your answer.

By the way, if you think that sex is becoming more important cause you are not happy, you might have problems. Make sure sex doesn’t become a “escape” from reality because you are sad. It will be worse at the end.

Good luck.

I am currently in a celibate relationship. Prior to this relationship, my previous relationships have always involved sex and I was very happy. Now, I must admit, being in a celibate relationship is extremely difficult. I believe sex is very important for happiness. I don't use sex as a means to satisfy a sexual urge; but rather to show how much I love and care about that person. I think a celibate relationship can be happy, but you must find ways to maintain intimacy without having sex.

Personally, I'm in the less sex equates to less happiness camp. It can be a big deal to me. Why can't my wife see that? Oh well.
