Yes. I've had my tonsils out as an adult. Not pleasant. Have had my appendix out then surgery on my right knee. Later had an umbilical hernia surgically corrected. Have had right ovary plus 2 cysts taken out and in that same procedure I had a huge lipoma excised from my right arm. Finally had a complete Hysterectomy, removal of uterus and left ovary. Had a gallstone removed. Had a small tumor removed from my nostril. Also had a cataract removed from my right eye and will eventually get the other one out within the next year or so. Plus Carpal Tunnel on both hands.

With the exception of outward scars I'm okay. I mean I got through them just fine.

Yeppers...I broke my ankle back when I was a freshman in HS....like 7 yrs ago or so....but I was wrestling, and I fell and turned one way and the other guy turned the other way...so my ankle broke in three different places, and directions. One was up the growth plate in a spiral direction, the other was down towards my foot, but the last one was the worst. Apparently my tendon ripped a 90 degree chunk off the bottom of my leg...where your shin meets your foot...looked pretty sweet on an x-ray. So I had to get surgery, they put a big screw on there, and that was that. I still got that screw in me right now, but it really doesn't affect anything I do very much. But sometime my ankle starts to hurt, or gives out, but its not too bad. How about you?

convinced. I had one operation some months in the past for my foot. i did not like it. i changed into strolling round at my domicile and there turned right into a needle sticking up out of the floor and that i stepped on it so i had to bypass see different docters 3 situations purely to get it out! Having surgical procedure 3 situations on your first time isn't relaxing. Then i had to be on crutches for weeks.

I had cataract surgery which is very strange because I had it at such a young age (30). My eyes had gotten so bad I couldn't see the classified section of the newspaper. I actually flunked my eye test at the RMV but they gave me my license anyway! It was really so bad that one time when I was driving I saw a police officer up ahead directing traffic...I actually said to my son "If he puts his hand up for me to stop let me know". Okay - thats bad. I was a wreck before I had the surgery - they make you sign all these forms and all that kept popping out at me was the word "blind". At that point I was wearing coke bottle glasses (I actually wore contacts in public so no one knew how bad my eyes were).

Surgery was a success....its done every day and I have never heard of anyone having any problems with it. And I no longer have coke bottle glasses!

Ty, Yes my dear I have when I was a kid my appendix. Then in 1983 after a bad motercycle accident I had my top popped and a blood clot removed from my brain ! Being a brave fool after I healed from that one, I had my bike rebuilt and rode again. Then in 1985 I once again found out my wife was cheating and was set up and ran off the road ! But this time it left me disabled ! Docters say permanetly. But Jesus loves me so I am okay !!!

Yes. I had my gallbladder removed at age 18.
I had the small, sandy/gravel like stones, and one got lodged in the bile duct.... I never felt anything so painful in my life. 10 hours in the ER in absolute agony until they got the OR free to take it out.

Having all 4 of my wisdom teeth out 2 years later was a walk in the park compared to that.

yes. I had to have six teeth surgically removed, because I fell in a lockerroom shower and jammed them into my gum line. i broke my gumbone in three spots. they tried to save the teeth but the roots were mashed potatoes. The day it happened they couldnt perform surgery because it was graduation for med students at the hospital I was at so I had to wait til the next day which sucked. I am fine now. I got my teeth replaced about a year ago.

Yep, I had my tonsils removed too when I was 7, and everything was fine. When I was a teen I had a grommet fitted in my ear, and that wasn't traumatic at all. Overall, I've had no bad experiences with hospitals at all.

Now, my mum on the other hand... :(

I have. I was glad that it occurred. It was a 4 pound mass that was "non-cancerous." Boy, was I relieved. This was "growing" for over 10 years. I went to various doctors and kept getting the "brush off." Then the surgery was suggested by the last doctor that I saw. The situation was resolved and I am fine. Peace, Love and God Bless.
