its a scam, they do that crap on craigslist also, ive recieved them so i do know what your talking about. they usually send an email notifying you to hold the item for them, then they ask you to send it to an address then they will send you a money order in the mail, the problem is the money orders are fake, and if you send the item you will lose it, and the bank will not cash the money orders. remember nothing good comes from nigeria.........

This will not be a matter for the police report the eBay ID to eBay and report the emails as spam to eBay spoof address it can be found on the official eBay website and politely tell the bidder that he has broke the terms and conditions of the auction and no bullying emails are going to make you post the goods then mark it as payment not received. Unfortunately this can not be investigated by the police because there has not been any illegal activity.

Don't trust anyone from Nigeria.
I put items to sell on Craigslist and all I got were offers that included ME advancing the shipping cost to them via Western Union. Ha!
And eBay is becoming questionable too. I was scammed out of a nonexistant golf club years ago. -along with lots of other people. Feds wouldn't do anything because it wasn't big money.
Anything with bad spelling and grammar is a scam. No question.

Pass all emails to ebay.
Next time you post stuff on ebay write in your terms and conditions the countries you will deal with. Also point out its payment up front for the exact amount only do not except over payments. All payments within 5 days of invoice or report as a non payment.

I don't even know why people go an purchase stuff on e-bay. To many scams on that website. I heard on the radio just this morning that someone bought some sold out concert tickets recently to a show and the tickets they received were for a handicap section. The person who bought them isn't even handicap. This important info was of course, never posted on e-bay with the tickets

Ive had exactly the same tonight...little so and so's
The bad grammar allerted me too..which is amazing seeing as i struggle with it myself! lol
I sent a email back suggesting they get back to flipping burgers and stop wasting their time trying to con people...i then reported it to eBay. Not sure you can report it to the police...eBay can tho.
If you go to eBay and look up on the "help" button how to do it...its pretty easy.
dont forget to do a second chance offer to the last person who bid...at least you dont lose that much money.

Ignore the emails (Just copy them to ebay) answering will alert the sender that your email address is valid. This person will soon give up sending them. We had similar emails originating from Hong Kong

NO ITS NOT A POLICE MATTER!
It's a civil matter, but since he is in Nigeria, there is nothing you can do but report him to Ebay. DO NOT send the item until you are paid, with US funds!

Any fraud is illegal.
This chap is posing as a legitimate ebay person in order to cajole goods out of you.
Tell him you have recorded all his emails and will be alerting the police.
