The assignment is to find a modern day Eliza Doolittle whom is a character from the play Pygmalion and went from a dirty, lower class, slob, never took a bath, etc. and became a beautiful, sophisticated, well-dressed woman.
My task is to find two pictures on the internet showing two pictures which you think accurately portray a modern day equivalent of Eliza Doolittle. The first image should picture her in her original form, unpolished and unimproved. The second image should present her enhanced version.

I can't think of anyone! I don't think it has to be a celebrity! But ugh the only thing I can think of is Britany Spears and Lindsay Lohan but they transformed in the opposite direction!

Norma Jean aka Marilyn Monroe started out small town, brown haired girl.

Do some ancient history, research Mae West.

Or what about *Eeewww* Martha Stewart?

I certainly wouldn't call her dirty or a slob, but Celine Dion was a rather plain looking woman and was very poor growing up.

She's now one of the wealthiest, most glamorous women out there (and a genuinely sweet, generous woman to boot - I know dancers who work for her here in Vegas and they said she's just incredible - she's never lost sight of the fact that she was so poor growing up and truly appreciates everything she has now).

Well, I don't like her much, but when LeAnn Rimes first began her career she was horrendous. She has since then had one helluva makeover.
