does anyone out there make a more quiet muffler for these? the 2 bolt muffler is way loud as I put a new one on shortly ago, I see the exh port has threads but they don't match up with briggs motors. Anyone know what fits quieter or what the pipe size threads are?

Most are 1/2" pipe thread. I tried for a long time to get a quieter muffler for my tiller never did find one. I know this not a real answer but it might keep you from spending money trying to find one.

Yeah, Tecumseh motors are the noisiest motors around. I have a 10 HP generator and the sound is deafening. I keep it in my detached garage.

take a tape measure and measure the hole, you can possibly make your own or use pipe and elbows and move the muffler to a different location,
