I took an online IQ test and it said that my IQ was 77. What kind of profession/job would i be capable of at this IQ? Also, what can you tell me about this IQ number?

"Stupid is as stupid does"--from Forrest Gump--for inspiration please see the movie. For job/profession choices take to consideration your skills and work on them; search for something you are passionate about--animals, plants, food, and so on, and forget the low quality and inconclusive on-line IQ tests. Perhaps a good employment agency can be of help--usually a consultation is free. Good luck!

Actually, that number is a little low (average is about 100). If you a teenager, then you can expect it to increase over the next few years as you finish your education and get a little more life experience.
An IQ is not really a good measurement of intelligence or what kind of career you should have. IT just shows how well you can take IQ test.

Normal IQ is from 90 to 110, 100 is average. 77 is low, no doubt. But the online IQ test may not be acurate.

Was the IQ test in your dominent language?? There are very good reasons IQ test have minimal use in real life....
On the other hand if you beleive this number, watch the movie Forrest Gump, he was portrayed as low IQ, (great performance too) and nothing stopped him, Albert Einstein was told he was stupid, flunked grades in school and is known more or less as a house hold word synonym for genius... so hmm... On line IQ test, don't let it control your life...

Your IQ numbers scored in the below average rate, which is 70 to 84. lower average is 85 to 99 and higher average is 100 to 114. according to my special education teacher most people score in the 80 to 88 average. so you are not stupid at all even if your score was below 50 you would still not considered stupid. because these people would just be considered to have a disability which can be treated with professional help. but these people would still be capable of performing many things.

That is not a very good number when you are talking about an IQ! You would like to be up around 110 or 120 possibly.
But if you scored this low, you are going to have problems being able to do certain jobs unfortunetly.

IQ tests are actually pretty unreliable ... your score has a lot more to do with literacy and familiarity with cultural concepts than with your actual intelligence. The mere fact that you're smart enough to realize that you need to work for a living tells me you're a lot more intelligent than a lot of people I know who have higher IQ scores to brag about. Yu can succeed at anything you want to if you want to bad enough and are prepared to work for it, and ask for help when you need it and believe in yourself

My IQ is 147 and 77 is extremely low. Considered below average. You could be a janitor or s/t....
