...OK...within the last hour, at the time of my typing this, my son's girlfriend, whom I let borrow my car, clipped a moose while driving home from work tonight...no major damage...no one hurt, but I felt guilty because I thought I shouldn't have loaned out my car just now ...if there were better tires on the back for braking, maybe it wouldn't have happened....

Absolutely. If I'm even a room when something goes awry, I ALWAYS feel guilty. Even if I wasn't involved. Even if I know or don't know who is involved. Even if I wasn't in the same state when such deed took place. Is it me? Does this happen to everyone? I think I even look guilty. "Paranoia will destroy ya.". LOL!

I wouldn't say that I feel guilty about it but I do feel for people that are going through things that I had no control over or had any part of causing!! I know a few people right now that are going through some things that are definitely tugging at my heart!!

YES. like when my friend is using me for my party on my birthday and didnt even say "happy birthday" or acknowledge what the cause was for. she just said when i answered the phone, "heyyyyyyyyyyy still goin to that party?" she was being a ***** to me so i didnt let her come, haha. plus my sis and i, our bf's didnt want her in their truck let alone the party. so i feel guilty for leaving her out but hey, wasnt my fault.

If it doesn't involve me, then I'm not guilty or would feel guilty.

Yes, quite often. I think it is only because I care a lot about what happens in my surroundings and the people there.

Ohhhh sh!t yeah! My first husband used to tell me that I suffered soo much guilt, it's a wonder I didn't blame myself for the war in the Middle East!

He's right though.

I think this happens when we know that we could have done something in that particular situation and choose not too. So, "YES!"
