hey, i am a die hard fan of pirates of the caribbean. i want to know if there will be a pirates of the caribbean 4. if anyone out there says yes, can you show me proof?

The website I get all of my movie info from doesn't list it. I know that I heard Johnny Depp say he would definitely do a fourth if they asked him, but at that time they hadn't. I think they made it a trilogy originally so I'd assume it's over.

February 2007, after filming was completed on Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, screenwriter Terry Rossio said he and Ted Elliott may try to write a screenplay, though "It's like the fourth Indiana Jones picture — there are forces in play to make it happen, and forces in play to make it not happen."[1] Director Gore Verbinski is aware that Walt Disney Pictures would like to keep the franchise going, but regarding his involvement, feels, "The big danger is diminishing the brand... it would have to be a tale worthy of telling."[2] At a recent book signing, Berkeley Breathed, who is working with Verbinski on a film, suggested that "[Verbinski] is sick of pirates" and would prefer not to do another.[3]
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has indicated interest in a spin-off,[4] but was exhausted by the trilogy's production.[5] Disney has reportedly made tentative plans to shoot a fourth film in 2009.[6]
Johnny Depp has stated that he would love to play Jack Sparrow for another trilogy "if they had a good script."[7] Keira Knightley has stated that she does not wish to continue playing her character of Elizabeth Swann as she wants to do different projects.[8]

I heard that they were, but that Keira Knightly didn't want to do it. That's probably just a rumor, though. I check www.imdb.com for the latest on new movies and projects that my favorite actors are working on. I heard about a fourth Pirates movie, too, so every so often I go to that website and look up Johnny Depp or Orlando Bloom, or someone who would definitely be in the fourth movie.

Yes there will be.
We went on a Disney cruise in June.
They go the the private island where the Flying Dutchman
ship is.
They said the boat was leaving in july to start filming the new
movie.

no there wont be a pirates of the carribean movie number 4 but you can go to coming soon on the movies page and read gregs previews it has all the latest movies that are going to be coming out through 2010

I am the biggest fan of Pirates but I am also sure that they are not going to have a fourth sequel. I WANT TO CRY!!! If you find proof for the opposite please mail me!!!
