I have seen websites building them with stones dug into the ground...but I am wanting something more temporary. Is there a big metal, preferably copper, disk (think contact lens shape) I can buy? Then I can use stones to sturdy it, so my ground doesn't get ruined and it can be easily moved? Is this something I could find? Thanks!

Answer number one suggests what you should probably do. They aren't prohibitely expensive; many are decorative; and most come with a cover; similar to an outdoor grille cover.

You can use a metal tire rim. They are usually rusty and and easy to find at a junkyard.
