Charlie & Humphrey - I think it was a local show in the Bay Area of California - Charlie was a horse, Humphrey was a dog - they were puppets, and the dog was an absolute riot! I used to play sick from school to stay home and watch them!

"Captain Kangaroo". I loved Mr. Green Jeans. Also watched "Romper Room" and a local show called "Sheriff John", but "Captain Kangaroo" was my favorite. Also liked "Felix The Cat" and "The Adventures Of Gumby". Wow! I'm surprised I remember this stuff (from the early 60's).

It wasn't necessarily a children's show, but the Looney Tunes collection of cartoons featuring Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck were by far my favorite and still are. For pure children's entertainment, the only show I watched was Captain Kangaroo.
