I am Asian American and not quite sure what you are asking. We live all over the United States. I have lived in Chicago, Dallas and places in between and there are Asian communities. There is no "set" religion. Many Chinese are either Buddhist or Atheists. People from the Islands(Phillipines, Cambodia, Vietnam etc) tend to be Catholic. People from Pakistan, India etc. are also Asian. So, there religions are Hindu, Muslim etc. The Japanese are usually similar to Chinese in religion. As far as gangs, the Chinese have the Triads, but mostly NOT in the U.S. Also, the Japanese have Yakuza, again NOT real prevelant here.

Major populations of Asians... San Francisco and New York.
In the US I think there is a mix of religions, Buddhist, Christians, maybe some Taoists. As for the Chinese almost all will practice Ancestor Worship on top of there chosen religion.

Current information about street gangs could be a problem, most of that information is underground, and if you knew about it I'm sure you wouldn't be able to leak out the information. Besides from extorting businesses in china town, some drug deals and prostitution... all the info would be specluative. You could do some research on Joe Boy's and Wah Ching... they were the gangs involved in the Golden Dragon massacre in 1977.
