Most colleges limit the transfer to 60 hours but some are as high as 90 hours. It depends on the college you want to transfer to.

Remember, there is no automatic right to transfer credit, it's entirely up to the receiving college.

I've had so many friends that went to transfer out and found out too late that a lot of their credits wouldn't transfer, not that there was a limit. One girlfirend ended up taking English 101 twice, once at the community college and once again at the 4 yr college. She got an A both times, no reason for her to have to. When she was trying to find out why her credits didn't transfer no one had any answers. Her younger sister was smarter and completed her associates and then transfered. That truely is your best bet, that way you get credit for everything you are putting your time and money into in the first place. Best of luck with your schooling

Most colleges will not let you transfer more than 60 credit hours. You need this many to obtain an associates degree. If you have more than 60, it does not mean you cannot attend the school, just that some of the classes that you took will not count-which is not a big deal, as the college will pick and choose the classes you took so that the ones that you need for your major will count.
Good luck!
