Bush achieving the White House was a triumph of propaganda, and talk show influence. It was proof of the intellectual laziness of today's America.

The man himself will be remembered for what he was, a small piece of a Republican machine. He didn't win the first election, and he very narrowly won the second. He could have used 9/11 to mend fences all over the globe, and to unite the world behind us. Instead he wasted that opportunity, wasted untold billions by invading the wrong country, and wasted thousands of our sons' lives.

Terrorism has been galvanized against us as never before. Bush has done nothing but harm to us. It's just a damned shame.

Certainly the great divider.

I don't think i've ever seen the US so polarised over it's politics before, even during the Vietnam war.
As for the lowest common denominator he certainly has tried to appeal to that.
Nor has any president been so universally disliked and mocked.
