It varies slightly from doctor to doctor, but I was allowed to take Robitussin (DM or CF formulas) when I was pregnant. You could also use a vaporizer with some Vick's in it to help break things up. Not sure on the home remedies; the ones I know will work for a sore throat but not sure on the cough.

I have no idea as to what "awwww" means, but, if you have a cough, whether it's from a cold, virus, or allergy, you should consult your doctor before taking the advice of any stranger, no matter how innocent and innocuous the response may seem. For all you know, you have a serious condition that may affect your unborn child. And, BTW, it doesn't matter which month your pregnancy is in; it isn't worth the risk to you and your child (and, quite possibly, the rest of your family if it turns out to be contagious), so GO TO YOUR DOCTOR, ***NOW***!!!

You can take Robitussin DM and cough drops. If it gets worse or keeps you up at night, there are some meds that your doctor can prescribe to help you out that are still safe for baby. I hope you feel better soon!

Steamy shower.
Both doctors with both pregnacies said Robitussin was fine. I chose Delsym. This is the safest cough medicine for pregnant women.

Try calling the First Nurse number in your area. Or just go to a pharmacy and ask a pharmacist. They should be able to recommend something that's safe during pregnancy.

You can't take meds, but you can try something to soothe your throat.
