We get the word logic from the Greek logos. Aristotle is the father of modern logic, although there were others who "discovered" logic in other cultures.

Boole was absolutely not the first logician.

To amend: logic as a field of study and defined tool with verifiable steps -- formalized logic -- was Aristotle's baby.

Logic is the functioning of the brain . It was never "discovered " . The very earliest cave-men used logic .

my friend some things cannot be discovered because everyone knows it. Logic is the outcome of the systematic thought of man some one may had done some research on it and you may get his or her name as answer but they are not the discoveries but more understanding the subject!!!!!!!!!!!
