....for once, I'm proud of myself! Did you work hard today and get no praise for all of it?

If so, "Thank you for your hard work, you are indisensable, whatever you do" : )

I think the 'thanks' is supposed to be the wage packet - but it's never enough is it, a simple thanks goes a long way but it doesn't pay the rent. There's a lot to be said for KNOWING you 'done good' though so - well done, and have a pat on the back.

Ditto, ditto.
We all, well okay a lot of us do. We are expected to give it all + 100 nowadays while you watch those around you do jack-crap. It can be very frustrating.

I remind myself that the situation may look pretty but who knows what is behind the door.

We have to always be proud of ourselves. It changes how we work, our moods, our pride. Yes it feels good to be appreciated but reality can sometimes suck.

So "Thank you for your hard work. You are appreciated for the dedication you have & give!"

;o)

(You know this goes beyond our damn jobs, we have to remember to always try to keep our chins up, give our all to it and be proud. I'm sure people around us feel it they just forget to say it.) (See I'm trying to be so positive! I'm trying!)

I know what you mean. I am the owner of a company and make it a point to thank each and every employee for their hard work and effort each and every day. I get nothing in return (which is fine), but it does make you feel underappreciated...I'm working hard to keep them employed!

I did good work but am quite moody and erratic at the moment because I'm looking to the future and wanting to move on from what I'm doing now. Anyway, good for you and your little bottom: Which was working the hardest? :)

Thanks for a lovely question and well done, it's people like you that make the world go round.
Yeah I wirked hard today and got no thanks, but that's' OK. I did get an email thanking me for my "superb" work on Tuesday so I'm feeling pretty happy. Wish it was always like that!

Thanks little monkey! It's nice to hear a word of praise. At work I generally don't receive praise...I guess in health care it is expected to do well without praise.
