I think more Star Wars films would be better. Harrison Ford is around 60 and a "Young Indiana Jones" franchise wouldn't be as interesting.
I don't see more of either, though. I don't think Lucas would override all the post-movies material he's authorized and I haven't heard of him having much interest in "ancient" SW history.
He might surprise us, though.

Star Wars ... not going to happen but ... If they made more Indy films I'm pretty sure they'd have to look for someone to replace Harrison Ford and, for me anyways, that would "taint" the movies ... Ford is Indy just like Ford is Han Solo ... to see someone else step into those roles ... it just wouldn't work. That being said, if both movies were taken into the future, a time where Indy and/or Han had died then you can talk about some possibilities. In that respect Indy would work much better than Star Wars. Jump ahead to a time when Indy has died ... now you know he's got to have a son or two running around after all his "relationships" in the movies ... and then take the story forward with Indy's son(s) as the main characters. For Star Wars ... well as it stands right now the books have taken Star Wars 35 - 40 years into the future from the end of Return Of The Jedi ... and Dark Horse comics have taken the story about 200 years ahead. It has been mentioned that a lot of stories could come from Yoda's 900 years of life but that would be like walking a tight rope so as to not mess with the already established time line of the books and comics. Before you scoff at "comic books" pick up a dark horse Star Wars comic and you'll see just what a great job they do making the stories work and run together. Personally I think we are going to see a large amount of the "new" Star Wars books focus on Yoda's 900 years and all the things that happened leading up to A New Hope and beyond. I'm reading a book now, title is Allegiance, that is set between A New Hope & The Empire Strikes Back. There is a really "ironic" story line running in this book ... don't want to give anything away to my fellow Star Wars fans but in a nutshell Darth Vader works with the woman who will become his son's wife about 20 years into the future ... this book is written by Timothy Zahn and it proves that when it comes to the writers of the Star Wars EU ... Zahn has no equal. Don't get me wrong, the other authors are great also ... Denning, Stackpole, Anderson, Stover to name a few ... but when it comes to a tight, fast moving story that actually makes sense ... well, Zahn is the man.
Man, that's a lot of babble just to, in short, say both and neither ... lol ...
To Darth Eugene:
You probably already know this but there is a new Darth Bane book ... Darth Bane: The Rule Of Two ... coming out in the very near future ... November IIRC.

If this was back when all the Indiana Jones movies were still recent and Harrison Ford was younger I would have picked Indiana Jones, because I love those movies. Now, I have to pick Star Wars, but I like the older ones better than the newer ones.
George Lucas wrote Indiana Jones too.

I would like both, but Harrison ford is too old to do a fifth movie. and GL does not wantr to do more movies on SW; only the TV series he is working on.
---
Yoda had between 800 to 900 years old when he died in ROTJ, just imagine how many stories can be written on his adventures. Or jump to Darth Bane era.
Indy has been looking for treasures in Egypt, India, and Europe/Middle East. Plus opening scenes in USA, China, and another in Central or South America.
There are many many many material to choose from.
