Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the apex governing body for cricket in India. The BCCI is the richest cricket board in the world.
As a member of the International Cricket Council ( ICC), it represents India in international cricket.. It has the authority to select players, umpires, and officials to represent the country in international events and exercises total control over them. It can twist the arm of International Cricket Council for favoring decision. BCCI got such powers because of millions of Indian follows the game so the sponsors/advertiser gave BBCI tremendous power. Without its recognition, no competitive cricket involving Indian players can be hosted within or outside the country.
BCCI was established in 1929. Sharad Pawar is current President and Sahara group of companies and Nike sponsors it.
However, BCCI lacks administration or corporate structure. Other countries such as Australia, UK has very good administration system.
