OK..alot of confusion here. A standard urine test for an infection looks for blood, white blood cells and perhaps crystals in the urine indicating something from the kidneys.
Drug tests are a WHOLE different ball game. You cannot be tested for this in the ER without your express permission. Although some states may vary on this, generally this is not a routine urine ER test. There are certain perameters that must be met legally to make the test valid and a certain way of collecting it.
If you are that worried about it , my best advice is stop smoking. It will eventually catch up to you..I see too many MRI's of the brain with atrophy after years of smoking weed.
Plus..everyone always thinks nobody knows when in reality..we all know. You smell like it.

a urine test can be used to detect many things including drugs. usually though doctors/whoever is doing the test will onli look for a certain abnormality. it also depends on how long it has been since you last smoked weed in relation to the urine test.

Weed is partially legal in 19 states, you are fine. It's only a matter of time until these crazies can't tell us where to smoke anymore. PS: if you're a parent, and your kid is over 17 & enjoys hip-hop/rap..... He's smokin' weed. Happy thanksgiving!!

they probably won't be testing for drugs. they'll be testing for whatever protein is present when you have a urine infection. also just smoking one time will not likely make it show up in the urine (was told this by a doctor)

yes they will. urine testing is the most common test for drug testing if that's what they are looking for. The tch levels will be recorded for the doctor to see the results of everything going on inside your body. The other more expensive, accurate form of testing is hair sample.

Only if they test for drug use, as far as I know. They will have to specifically test for cannabis use to determine whether you used it. Most likely they won't.
Even if they do detect it, what are they going to do with the information? Most likely nothing. What goes on between you and your physician is absolutely private. They probably wouldn't even tell your mommy.

Not unless they do a drug test. Most likely they didn't, since it costs money and most hospitals want to do things a cheap as possible.

If they test for it, yes. But they can't tell anyone without a court order. It's called doctor-patient privilege.
