You would not only be silly. You would be completely irresponsible.

I am 22, 6'2" tall, bronzed. I love Scuba diving and free-fall parachuting in my spare time. My father owns a chain of
jewelry shops.

Sounds good? Yeah, well I am a 62 year old wrinkly who
worries about people like you.

You know nothing about him - other than what he cares to
tell you.

Do you know his name, address, tel. No ? Ask for his
number, then phone. Then have a think.

If you still want to meet him, have a friend come with you,
and take a photo of the two of you together.

Youngsters don't listen to us oldies. But is there not
anyone that you know locally that you fancy? That would be
far safer.

Good luck - whatever you decide. Just be careful.

Allot of people are meeting as a result of Internet chat rooms these days, i don't see anything wrong with it just so long as you take certain precautions. One that i feel is safe is to arrange to meet the person in a place you know well, then you can arrange for friends to be there on hand should anything go wrong x x

If that's what someone wants to do then go for it. I would want to know more about him first and I would have to make sure he doesn't look like the hunchback of Notre Dame.

You have to name names or give a little clue

edit: How old is the girl and how old does the fella claim to be? Think about this before doing anything.

edit: since reading that extra bit I would say stay away. How can you tell what someone is like from an avatar and a few q&a's. We can all make ourselves seem nice but you don't know the real personality behind the nice looking avatar lol

I don't know, I don't really find cartoon avatars that attractive or fancyable. Anyway, a lot of people will look completely different to their avatar and then you have to probably travel across the whole country to meet them. It's a bit pointless and a bit dangerous if you don't know them well enough. They could be anyone.

No it`s not safe to do so. You know nothing about the person behind the cartoon head or the avatar.

I have seen people`s marriage break up because of online fantasists.

edit,

Him above me has a great answer.

If youve spoken to him quite a bit and you trust him enough then I say go for it, but on the first date make it a group thing, call some of your friends and their boyfriends up and go on a double date.Like bowling or something. And just be sure to let everyone in your life know who he is and where you are that way if anything happens (hopefully not) they will know where to find this guy.

At last - yahoo romance! Or at the very least a real friendship. Thats so great!

Meet him, do it safely, and have fun. But most importantly - keep us posted! I'm fascinated!

I would just be sure to meet in a very public place. Maybe even bring a couple of friends along and have them sit at another table or something. I personally would not do it. But have heard of successful relationships started on the internet.

Get to know him first, you can't really judge someone by their avatar. Maybe email him or IM him.

Good luck i hope it works out ok
