I've always been of the school of thought that the paper should exit the roll on the side farthest from the wall, as this seems to provide the user with the easiest access, and in my experience most hotels and other establishments seem to agree with this philosophy. My girlfriend however, insists on putting the roll with the loose sheets hanging (frustratingly) adjacent to the wall, making access (in my opinion) more awkward. She says that she puts the roll on completely randomly but as it's always the same (wrong) way round I can only presume she has some twisted reasoning. She isn't even from the southern hemisphere so this can't explain it either. Who is right??

This was meant to be a light hearted question - there's really no need for comments about problems in my relationship - I always have a laugh to myself when I see that she has put it on the wrong way around (and yes I do turn it around) - I'm pretty sure at this point she does it on purpose to try to annoy me, just because I mentioned it once!

If it rather is men, it rather is no longer possibly performed, till the purifier is going in. My husband incredibly prefers to "stability" the recent rest room roll on suitable of the tube from the old one than to alter it over! My son, who's 6 is interior the perception he's the Andrex pup long previous incorrect and loves to bypass away patches of bathroom roll (unused fortunately) on the washing room floor - incredibly why, I shall by no potential understand. it rather is often left to me, no rely if it rather is ladies persons, positioned a extensive examine in, "FOR GOD'S SAKES YOU LAZY MOOS, replace the rest room ROLL in case you employ THE final!!" That small hint would only help?

If you think about it does it really matter. Any way its put on at night when the lights are out you still roll the roll many times until you find the loose end anyway. So your both right.

In all seriousness. It's not a question of right or wrong, but of efficiency and waste. I have read somewhere before that toilet tissue is used more "efficiently" (you waste less) if the paper comes over the top. And, of course it's easier to get a hold of when it comes over the top. Really......for real.....

Well, I think it is very obvious that your woman has absolutely zero sense of Bathroom Codes and Ethics. Everyone knows that the paper always comes over the top for easy access. There ain't no good reason to support her any more for her rediculous thoughts and beliefs, I would get rid of her when you read this. Unbelievable.

Facing outwards is the correct way, this does explain why women cannot read a map without turning it to face the way they are heading. What drives me absolutely insane is when I stay in a hotel and they fold the last sheet to a point.

I think you should probably get out more and possibly have some sort of relationship counselling. You are both wrong. Toilet rolls are both unhygienic and bad for your skin.
For the sake of your relationship- buy a bidet.

can't believe I'm gonna own up to this but;
when I was a kid I thought that someone in my Nans house was possesed by the devil(!) because they kept turning the loo roll to come down the front'
I kept changing it to be pulled down the back against the wall but they kept changing it.
I was seriously upset by this for sometime and never found out who the evil person was (probably my Nan, who was in fact lovely)
Fortunately I grew out of this obsession

Military inspection is from over the top closest to you with both corners tucked under to form a point. Can't believe I remember this crap. Etiquette dictates you are right.
