Based on past trends, as well as my persoanl opinions, I do not think Hillary will get the nomination.

I think Hillary and Obama will both be front runners for the first couple of primaries, but the Richardson, Edwards, and possibly a couple of others, will start to pick up steam. As the field thins, I think that Hillary will be one of the last to concede. She and Obama may even make it to the last few primaries.

I don't think she gets the nomination, though. I am predicting Richardson. Edwards is also a good possibility, but it will hurt him that he ran with Kerry last time after saying that he (Edwards) would not accept a Vice Presidential nomination.

Hillary has too many things against her to win the nomination:

1). Her health care program. Most people don't fully understand it and many think it is a terrible idea. This will lose more votes than it wins.

2) Her husband has already been President. For many people, this is almost the same as being President herslef. From the standpoint of many pro-marriage advocates, marriage legally binds a couple into one unit. As the term limit is 2 terms or 10 years, the only FAIR chance of her being President (from the standpoint mentioned for this point) would be as a replacement to fill the last two years of someone else's term.

3). Hillary is female. A large portion of our society, females incluided, do not think a woman should be President.

4.) She is a "carpet bagger". After the Civil war, people from the North moved South to hold political office during the Reconstruction. Hillary uised the same tactics to run for Seante. As each state has thye same number of senators, and Arkansas has less people than New York, she actually had the same or better chance of winning an HONEST election in Arkansas. many people do not believe that 6 months residensce is a valid amount of time to fairly represent a state as a Senator.

There are other factors involved, such as running mate, whether or not any more "White Water"-type scandals occur, Bill's role (or lack thereof) in her administration... The list goes on.

I think the 4 points that I stressed will be some of the main reason why Hillary, although she wil have a lot of support, will not get the nomination.

I hate Hilary with a passion but not only will she win the Democratic nomination she may just win the whole presidency. I think things like lack of Republican candidates, unfavorable war, Republican scandals etc.. are all aligning for her to win. She cleary has the most experience out of any person running democratic or republican. And besides she ran the country for 8 years already.

Hillary is probably our smartest politician at the moment. She sees that America is basically an ungovernable group of spoiled babies. Maybe for once a politician will realize that being president is about the worst job in America. You bear the burdens and the scars of the country and reap no rewards other than a bit of prestige and a place in history books. Is it worth giving up your youth and vitality - what remains of it, just to be despised, blamed, and hated? So maybe she really means it and won't run ever.

Probably.

there's a slight chance her candidacy will implode when exposed to the voters, as did the EC Constitution. But it's only a remote chance.

It is an absolute stone-cold lock...why are the Republican candidates focusing only on her.......it is because the internal polling shows she will have this wrapped up very early in the primary season.

unfortunately yes - she would be a horrible president!

Of course we knew back in 1992 that she was eying the oval office when slick Willie was President.
