chevy ministarter again.?

I have an 88 s10 with a stock 350 in it. I am having problems with the starter. sometimes when i turn the key it will try to turn over then it will make a loud bang. it sounds horrible and cant be good. someone please help me?

Sounds like the bendix is going bad, I would just replace it but not with a remaned one try to find a NEW one it will be hard to find but better than changing it 3 or 4 times a year.
