The paving is 540 square feet, a third of a foot thick, so 180 cubic feet. Divide by 27 to get cubic yards, and multiply by $175.

V = 30 x 18 x 1/3 ft ³
V = 180 ft ³
V = 180 / 27 yd ³
V = 60 / 9 yd ³
V = 6 6/9 yd ³
V = 6 2/3 yd ³
Cost = 6 2/3 x $175
Cost = 20/3 x $175
Cost = $1167 (to nearest dollar)

10 yards long * 6 yards wide * 1/9 yard thick * $175 =
60 square yards * 1/9 yard thick * $175 =
6 2/3 cubic yards * $175 = $1166.666

just get the total volume by multiplying all the dimensions together. convert the inches into feet first. (4 inches = 1/3 ft)
30ft *18ft *(1/3)ft = 180ft cubed

now convert that into yards. there are 3 ft in a yard
180 ft cubed/3 ft per yard= 60 yards cubed

$175(60) = $10500
