It is certainly fashionable to trash President Carter, who lost the election primarily because he would not invade Iran and start a war over events that were beyond the control of any American. The conservative owned and operated media make a point of ignoring his accomplishments, both domestic and in foreign affairs.
How many Presidents since have managed to make peace between Muslim and Jew? The agreement that Jimmy Carter brokered between Egypt and Israel has lasted ever since, and has been the cornerstone of the fragile stability the Middle East has enjoyed. Were Egypt still the jihadist force it was in the days of Gamal Nasser the region would be aflame from Libya through Bangladesh.
If Jimmy Carter, having been there and done that, wanted to endorse me I would be proud of that.
It is imperative for us to remember that most of the advances we are most proud of as a nation are derived from the often abused liberals like Jimmy Carter. We hear all the innuendos about JFK and movie stars in the White House, but his actions during the Cubam missile crisis are what eventually won the Cold War, and his initiatives on racial equality prevented a major civil war. Lyndon Johnson, as well, deserves a lot of credit for his social legislation.
If it had been left to the conservatives, men like Richard Nixon, Joe McCarthy and Strom Thurmond, we would still be arguing about whether the ******* should be allowed to use the same bathrooms as us white folks.
Jimmy Carter was a better President than his detractors are prepared to admit, and certainly George W. Bush has handled the Middle East far worse than Carter did. I am fairly certain that if he had chosen to invade somebody over there he could at least have found the right country.

Yes! The Cheese finds another question! Sort of.
Yes, I for one do not enjoy fmr President Carter roaming the world and bashing the current President as if he was running again. But he's on the Bubba retirement plan. Paybacks you know. I pardon you in 1977, you help me go from peanuts to millions in speaking engagements and more book royalties.
SO I happen to p'o a few Sudanese guards?! Watch out for that UFO! Zoom almost hit os bro. The Clinton initiative, make more give less.
Not me but Hillary sure is loving it. Thanks.
YO' Thing brilliant come back !! Keep writin on cheese!

In 2012, you can rest assured that the democratic candidate will appreciate Carter's endorsement far more than the Republican candidate will appreciate George W. Bush's endorsement.

Sure... I would like the endorsement of any former president; whether I liked him or not. Its just smart. Thanks for the 2 points... this was easy.
You'd have to be an idiot to NOT want a endorsement from any former president.

No, but at least when Carter left office he was not bragging about he could make millions in speaking engagements, as did our present president

Seriously - I need to know what JC did to get you so riled up for more than 25 years now? It's all you ever post about.
OCD is treatable. Check it out at www.webmd.com. Then, call your doctor. You don't have to suffer like this.
And yeah, I'm serious.
