What are you doing with your tot this year? We're hanging out at home...but I did get him a Batman costume to wear when we open the door. I just think he's too young...he can't say "trick or treat" and he has food allergies, so he can't eat half the candy. What are your plans?

I have 2 children...a 9 yr old daughter and a 20 month old son and we are going to go to "Boo at the Zoo" a week before halloween. It's been a tradition with me and my daughter and now i get to include my son. The zoo passes out candy at different trick or treat stations around the park, you can see animals at dark, they have a mild spooky train ride, they have music, snakes and other animals you can touch, a costume contest..it's a fun time..then of course, we will be going out on halloween night!! My daughter is going as a bratz pirate and my son is going as a pirates of the caribeean jack sparrow pirate. I, also think my son is too young and if i did not have my daughter, i would stay home with him, as well. My son will only be allowed to eat maybe 3 pieces of candy and then the rest will go to me and my daughter and fiancee...lol...He does not know the difference..lol

My 2 year old is going trick or treating but that is because I have younger siblings, 9 and 7. My son and I meet at my aunt's house (nicer neighborhood, she has a 3 and 5 yr old) as well as my mom and younger siblings and all go as a big happy family.
If he was the only young child in the family, I would definately be up for spending a Halloween in the house.

I'm dressing mine up. My Mom is coming over and also some friends, so if someone decided to take her around along with our son they could, although they'd probably need the stroller.

There are a lot of families in my neighborhood, and several houses each year are considerate enough to have things like Teddy Grahams for the little ones. So she'd get to eat something at least.

Dressing up the boy as a princess won't make him gay, or a serial killer, or depressed as he gets older. He could be embarrassed by potential of it yet who does not have any embarrassment from their babies? If this became any different way around and a woman wanted to dress up in as a prince no person might say something. Is dressing up as a princess his theory or yours? It sounds like it truly is yours. My suggestion might basically ask him what he needs or take him down the dress isle and permit him %. a "boy" dress.

Well I have no kids cuz I am only 13, but I would let him just have fun and try to say "trick or treat" and maybe buy him his own candy that he can eat!!!

If everyone else in the house is 'getting into' Halloween, then there is no harm in including him but he doesn't know what it is all about and doesn't care so just give him a banana and let him enjoy the festivities at his own level.

I'm certainly not going to dress a tot, who can't protest for himself, up in a Batman outfit for my own sick, personal amusement.
