WOW, Oakland Raiders +10, I'll take the Raiders and the points plus Norv Turner coaching the Chargers how can you lose. It's good to see Norv Turner getting another head coaching job and manage to make this team into an underachieving bunch's. The Chargers are one of the best team in the AFC but they hire one of the worst coach ever and the Chargers organization fire Marty after going 14-2 in the regular season WOW! what a bone head move by this team. I'll take the Raiders plus the points, reason, Norv Turner.

Because the betters are going for San Diego, after last weeks win over Denver. Oddsmakers want to put the line at a point where there is a split between the bets on the San Diego side and the Oakland side. If more people are betting on San Diego the line is going to move gradually higher. I'll take Oakland on that line any day. Last year I would have taken Oakland on that line (I would have won on the game in San Diego too).

Because Oakland has no chance of upsetting the Chargers, even with the moron Norvy at the controls. San Diego could win by 30 points if they up the pedal to the metal and kept it there.

My guess is that it has a great deal to do with the Chargers destroying Denver on the road last week, winning by 38 in the same place where the Raiders lost. That's the first time this season that they've really seemed to click on all cylinders, so the bettors likely feel that they've turned the corner and will be the Chargers of old.
Oakland also hasn't won a divisional game since 2004, going a combined 0-16 over the past two seasons. I think they're a much-improved team from last year, but they really need to win a game within their division before they can expect the oddsmakers to do much in their favor.

Are you serious? Please don't be kidding! Oakland is +10 at San Diego?! That's great! And you know why we are? Because, despite our reputation, we're kickin' some tail this season. We've scored at least 20 points in every game and, if it weren't for Shanahan's bogus timeout in OT when Janokowski kicked the FG, we'd be 3-1.
People will continue to underestimate us, but that's just fine by me. Underdog is good. With Norv Turner coaching San Diego and Oakland being on fire and coming off of a bye, we definitely have a chance at victory...no matter where the game is being played.
Go Raiders! :)

except San Diego can locate a thank you to get rigidity on the QB they might okay be in for an prolonged day. Oakland beat Denver so i does no longer be shocked one bit in the event that they gave the Chargers a scare. San Diego is at domicile so they ought to win.

Because San Diego is a top rated team who has underperformed to date and Oakland is a poor team who has performed well to date. Vegas isn't dumb they see the reality of the situation and need to make it difficult to pick the bet.
That said, I take Oakland with the points.

Because the Raiders have had a cupcake schedule so far and San Diego actually has a team.
Plus they are playing on the road. I would take the Chargers on this one, Oak has yet to play a decent defense.

Daunte Culpepper is a mobile QB, out to prove something and he's playing with confidence. The Raiders before this past weekend were #1 in the NFL in rushing. Lamont Jordan has had a week off (back injured), Antonio Fargas is a missle, Dominic Rhodes comes back this week, and beware the rookie RB from Louisville next year, he's a beast. Porter needs more catches but his averge per catch is ridiculous, something like 20 ypc with good touchdowns. Other WR's okay, need more confidence. The offensive line blocks great in the run game, and improving on pass rush. Defensive line and LB's need more consistency, but playing better. Defensive Backfield tops in interceptions. Phillip Rivers is erratic and overrated in my opinion. LT is great but he's frustrated and he's rushing everything. Antonio Gates is the main reason this team is in the hunt to win at all, best TE in the league right now. Other WR's 'NONEXISTENT', or rather they don't matter or strike fear in anyone. Defensive line is okay, Merriman a beast, but overruns plays if QB mobile. DB's aight, nothing to scream about. But the number one reason that makes everything easy is your pal Norv. Mr. Turner may be a great man, as a Head Football Coach, he sucks. Marty may have had problems, but to go from him to Norv is like getting rid of A-6 Bomber for a Windglider. Any affiliation he has had in the past with Head in it has resulted in failure. His teams and coaches control him and he can't make sound decisions.

Because betters have driven those odds to that mark. Oakland is playing better and no one is ready to jump on the Charger bandwagon after just one game
