My wife and I filed for bankruptcy then I got layed-off what will happen now? I have another job lined up but it will be about a week before I start it. will this affect our bankruptcy wich is chapter 13

You need to call your trustee as soon as possible.. like NOW.

You may have been layed-off because you file chapter 13. A chapter 11 shows that you are, at least, going to try and pay your bills. Are you sure your not getting them backwards?
Anyway, what do you have to loose. You have hit the bottom of the barrel. I do not know the circumstances of you bankruptcy but you have nowhere else to go but up. Good luck with that.
Guess what, you can probably get a credit card quit easily.

If you are going to have problems making your payments I would contact the referee and explain my situation
