- (i think indiana) sold to a foreign country...i could have sworn while i was making dinner last night that i overheard the tv and it said that one of g.e.'s signs now reads in arabic?....whats this all about?...i cant find anything

Yes. It was on the network news last night. GE sold its plant in Mount Vernon, Indiana to an Arabian company. They showed the new sign, in Arabic. Apparently, not much else has changed (yet). Workers still have their jobs and things are 'business as usual'. I doubt that it will last.
The news report stated that over 25% of American factory buy-outs are now being purchased by foreign corporations. I find it curious that foreign companies are buying up American firms that have shipped American jobs to foreign countries!!
I live in New Haven, Indiana; wonder if the Arabs will try to buy one of our factories?? -RKO- 10/11/07

no i think youve heard wrong, im a newsreader for a small television channel and i haven't heard anything like that
