I've used slick 50 a couple of times and it won't make your car smoke, the thing it will do is make your engine run smoother, my engine gained 200 RPM while idling after putting it in.

a buddy's shop uses slick 50 in all their non-oil filtered engines, such as mowers, 2 cycles, generator engines, even atv's..
they swear by it, my lawn mower is 25 years old and doesn't even smoke yet so unless you pour it straight thru the intake it would or the rings and valve guides on yers are bad.. it shouldn't smoke

Slick 50 softens the seals ( that's why the leaks start up ) and teflon can rather gum up your piston earrings besides. the suited protection is a reliable offense. fix leaks as quickly as achievable. substitute you oil AND filters many times and use a reliable non-detergent oil and robust filters too. the greater greenback or 2 is rather quite worth it!
