I broke my right hand 4 weeks ago i broke my little finger and the one next to it aswell as my palm. For the first 2 weeks i only had my fingers in bandages, due to the pain and discomfort i was in and never having broken a bone before, i went back to hospital where i was told i needed to be in plaster. 11 days after being in plaster i had this removed and yet another x ray and was told due to me not being put in plaster when it first happened my little finger has set in the wrong place. I have now been told that i need to try and use it and if in 4 weeks it doesn't work the same as it did i will have to have it broken by them. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them?

Kenneth F if you read what i put properly you would see that i knew i had broken my hand at that time but i was originally but in bandages not plaster. I have been up the hospital 5 times in 4 weeks because of this. I'm not being a hero if this doesn't get sorted it could cost me my career.

No, but it's not all that uncommon in our profession. The key is to get to the point where you are functioning as well as you were before the break. Best of luck.
