No birth control is 100%. It's rare, but definitely possible to become pregnant while on the pill. Pregnancy tests check for the level of hormone caused by pregnancy. The later the pregnancy, the more hormone your body has and the more accurate the test is. I think 3 weeks after conception is when you can try testing, but 5 weeks or later would be much more accurate.

antidepresents? it all dpeends what type u are on but some do stop u from falling pregnant as it take away the female hormones...
as for taking birth control at the same time i dont think u have a big chance at falling pregnanT but there is always that chance if your sexually active of course.
a pregnancy test sometimes wont show up for weeks... mine didnt show up until i was 8 weeks pregnant, but they say test the day of your first missed period, and always of a morning as your pee is a lot stronger than because you havent eaten or drank anything...
if you where to be pregannt and still taking both birth control and anti-depressents this could cause serious deformities to a young feotus. so you really need to take this up with your doctor
good luck xox

I don't think the antidepressant has any effect on the effectiveness of the birth control tablets and I also don't think you'll miscarry if you were to fall pregnant. A pregnancy test will show up positive around the day your period is supposed to start and later.

You will know you are pregnant when you miss your period. Neither birth control or your other meds will abort a healthy baby.
When birth control works correctly it stops ovulation. If break through ovulation happens it can happen at any time during your cycle but you will likely not know you are pregnant until you miss your period. The best time to take a pregnancy test is after you have a missed period.

You should have nothing to worry about (for the most part) if you are on birthcontrol. When I was on birth control, I would miss 2 days and makeup the days with the 2 pills like it said and never got pregnant. I believe it is a rarity to become pregnant while on birthcontrol but I'm sure it has happened. You will be able to tell if you miss your period while taking the sugar b.c. pills.

if you get "First response" in the pink box. then it will show up about five days after sex. its never a good idea to take birth controll alone. i should know.
well, it might not be safe taking an antidepressant while being pregnant. you may need to see your doctor if you are concerned about the babys health. how old are you?

Your chances are slim, bc is 99% effective, and an antidepressant won't make it easier to get pregnant.. the only pill you need to worry about that with, is an antibiotic. an apt test will show a positive two weeks before your missed period

I knew I was pregnant at about 5dpo (3 weeks after my last period)from strong symptoms, but it wasn't confirmed with an hpt until 4 weeks after my last period.

they have one now that can tell you 5 days before your late but the best way i knew i was pregnant is when i was dizzy as all heck and i was nauseaus but not puking and i was a sensitive as could ever be possible. oh and your boobs get really tender and you feel awkward not fat but unconmfortable when that period is barely late.
