Apparently.

Society is quick to blame everything except the criminal himself.

It always is. Look at the "defense" of thew pro-illegal immigrant debate.

What does it have to do with rejecting god? It doesn't their are plenty of Manson fans who don't go out and shoot up a school we've learned this from Columbine as well. Even Manson said this about the tragedy at Columbine Lead singer Manson stated on a VH1 interview that the band had cancelled three concerts in memoriam of the tragedy. When asked what he would have told the killers, Manson stated, "I wouldn't say a thing. I would just listen to them... and that's what nobody did"
There's something that happens to kids like these whether it's being teased, picked on, or other issues that people never get the help they need. You can't blame it on the person who did it but you can put some blame on the parents of the child for not getting them the help they needed and for the people who picked on or teased the kid.

Marylin Manson is an easy target and someone the media can use to scare the apathetic masses again with. We all know now that Manson isn't anywhere are scary as everyone thought he was back in '96. I am surprised he has been dragged into this mess.
It is simple - he was a goth white kid (called "coon" - THAT must have been difficult! Is life too ironic or what!??!) in a predominantly black school who didn't believe in God. What more do you need to create a stressed and deranged mind....he probably had an abusive parent and many other problems at home.
The problem lies with the system and the gun control NOT the f*cking music he listened to. People listen to Manson and other metal bands to feel empowered not to feel suicidal or despondent!
Lose the guns - break the racism both towards blacks and whites and the system will be easier to ingest.
Once again the media whores will take this and sh!t all over Manson to keep Mr. & Mrs. Suburban, scared to death and paying thier taxes and voting morons into office again!

I saw that article to and I sighed annoyingly. Marilyn Manson (even though I love his music) isn't really that big of a deal anymore. He's barely talked about anymore and doesn't really do much to shock people these days. Here we are 8 years later after the Columbine incident and it's happening all over again. I'm tired of people blaming musicians they don't like. What are you gonna do?...send MANSON to jail because some fan he never met went nuts? I'm tired of the schools and the parents dumping their responsibility onto musical artists! Manson didn't let guns into the school and Manson didn't shoot anyone. Own up to it people!

ideas Warner is Marilyn Manson. this is a go between Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson. An Atheist is a individual who does no longer have confidence in god. I purely heard his spouse Dita Von Teese filed for divorce. you are able to desire to verify out a number of his song video clips. some could locate them somewhat hectic.

here we go again... Manson hasn't been Manson for about 5 years.. That's how you know this is bullshit, manson isn't even a target anymore, he isn't even a threat...

This seems like a lame as.s attempt by the media and maybe the church to bring up sunday attendance , or simply scare people...

If they do it this time it WON'T be columbine, I was in high school then and the atmosphere of the late 90s was perfect for something like that, also Manson was at his peak, which is why I LOVED him.

Honestly if they pull that lame as.s sh!t now, it's just going to look really stupid.

I knew that song "Heart-Shaped Glasses" was going to ruin lives. But seriously, I think they want a singular reason why kids are getting a gun and shooting up their schools...but it's absolutely ridiculous that the ONE thing they link to all this is Marilyn Manson.

These kids that decide to kill others as well as themselves... are terrorists. How else would you describe a coward that kills other people because of their beliefs? And by surprise no less!

It's no secret that school can be the worst place to be if you are different and don't fit in but this crap needs to stop!

It's tragic that more lives were destroyed by this behavior but it's almost worse that Marilyn Manson is going to get attention for it.

It would be the media's fault, not Marilyn Manson. This idiot out of Cleveland is merely imitating a media-created stereotype that emerged after Columbine. Obviously, the media didn't pull the trigger but they constantly try to establish a cause and effect relationship that is a fallacy. Unfortunately this likely won't be the last time someone wants to become the next member of the trench-coat mafia. I'm sick of these copy cat losers.

I hope not. I can't figure out why everyone looks to blame someone except for the parents. It's the parents that let him listen to what he wants. Marilyn Manson didn't call the guy and tell him to do it. Everyone's always looking to pass the buck.

Not a Manson fan, whether it be Marilyn or Charles; However; I am TIRED of music being an excuse for deviant behavior and terrorism. Where is this kids parents, and where is teh admin when he threatens to blow up the school. It Is not the music,: it is not music being played backwards; it is not death metal!!!

When I heard about this on the news all I could think of how they were pulling from the pre-determined list of what was deemed "high-risk" behaviors and qualities. If the shooter was a good Christian boy who was wearing a Jars of Clay t-shirt I have no idea where this story would have gone.

We have definitely become a society of victims who refuse to take responsibility for our own actions, and the media has helped to build, and keeps fueling, the fire.
